Severe Acne

I have a severe case of acne on my torso that flares up in the folds of my body. It starts out red and then changes to a darker color. Fluids run from the open sores. This is very painful.

Acne is related to the diet and/or hormones. It can be related to food allergies or a diet high in carbohydrates or stimulants (coffee, tea, chocolate, sugar) that stimulate insulin, which puts the sex hormones out of balance. I recommend that you visit a qualified natural practitioner who can do a full assessment for you. You can find a qualified practitioner through the organizations listed on our website www.richters.com under the Q&A item "How to Find a Herbalist". On the main web page, choose "Q&A" from the menu, then enter "herbalist for the search.

Please see other items about acne on our website by entering "acne" from the "Q&A" page.
