Vanilla Production in Costa Rica II

I was reading the Q&A section of Richters website. I noticed an older posting of a question about organic vanilla in Costa Rica. I lived there for 3 1/2 years, and know of such a place. It is called Villa Vanilla near Quepos on the Pacific Coast. It is one of only three biodynamic farms in Costa Rica, and because of a disease that spread through vanilla in Costa Rica about 8 years ago, this is the only place that is successfully growing it for market. Their web address is: www.rainforestspices.com

Hank, the owner, has had representatives from the Josephine Porter Institute come to his place to make biodynamic preparations, back in 2004. He has been Demeter Certified for 8 years.

Hope this is helpful for general reference, and the person who requested the information. Their name was Paton Miller.

Thank you for this information.
