Selling My Black Cohsoh

I have about 2 ton of dried wild black cohosh. I need a buyer that is giving a reasonable price. Do you know of any exporters that I can contact on buying my herb?

Where was the root wildcrafted? I have not checked prices yet, but right now black cohosh from China begins around $2.20/lb, while forest farmed COG (certifed organically grown) is up to $5.50/lb (as a best guess). A 1-ton lot is small as buyers go, you might begin by contacting some of the regional wholesalers. Most want COG tags, so wildcrafting is not as easy to sell -- and it often is a bit less -- $4.30/lb.

I have plenty resources and footprints of where and how to market crops. Start with:

and my book "The Potential of Herbs as a Cash Crop," of course.

Depending on what State you are in, a regional wholesaler is probably your best bet. Herbco in Wisconsin, Blue Ridge Botanicals in Vilas, NC is another. If you want to send me a sample I can look into helping you find a buyer. I charge 10% for this service, so you may want to do this yourself.
