Could you please tell me about any herbs that can be used for skin treatments?

For healing skin wounds, herbs, Thomas Bartram, "Encyclopedia of Herbal Medicine" (Grace Publishers, Mulberry Court, Stour Road, Christchurch, Dorset BH23 1PS, England) suggests applying directly on the skin, one of many healing herbs, including: Comfrey (Symphytum officinale) containing healing mucilage, Horsetail (Equisetum arvense) containing healing silica, Calendula, which helps to regenerate skin in damaged tissues.

In skin disorders such as psoriasis, rash, itch, eczema, acne and dry, scaly skin, Daniel Mowrey, "Proven Herbal Blends" suggests a combination of herbs to clear toxic waste from the body by supporting the immune and digestive systems, the lymph and adrenal glands, the pancreas and the liver so that they can work more efficiently to process and eliminate toxins. These herbs include: Chaparral (Larrea divaricata), Dandelion root (Taraxacum officinale), Burdock root (Arctium lappa), Licorice root (Glycyrriza glabra), Echinacea (Echinacea purpurea), Yellow Dock root (Rumex crispus), Kelp & Cayenne.
