I had read that Cayenne Pepper is a blood thinner. I am prone to blood clots. Then I read that Cayenne also helps in producing blood clotting.

Cayenne is a stimulant which increases the blood flow. Studies have shown that cayenne increases the metabolism of fats, and decreases the fats in the blood. Contraindications are related to its irritant effect on the mucous membranes of the intestines, so it should be avoided in cases of intestinal inflammation. I have not heard of cayenne causing blood clotting.
