I suffer from RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury) and I am wondering which herbs you would recommend to relieve the burning and tingling in my hands and wrists which I get every morning and also sometimes in the evening.

Repetitive Strain Injury is a painful spasm that can occur in the hands, arms, neck or shoulders. The pain may be relieved with herbal pain relievers such as White Willow, calming, sedative anti-spasmodics such as Hops and Valerian and nerve nourishing herbs such as Oats (Avena sativa).

A tea or tincture of Nettles will improve blood circulation to the area. Chamomile helps to relax the muscles.

Rubbing the areas affected with Rosemary oil, made by adding 6 drops of essential oil of Rosemary to 2 tablespoons of olive oil will help to bring the blood circulation to your hands and wrists to relieve the burning, and tingling.

I suggest that you use the calming herbs such as Hops and Valerian in the evening, and stimulating herbs such as Rosemary in the morning. Using Hops in the morning may be too sedating, and using Rosemary in the evening may keep you awake. The other herbs may be taken three times a day.
