I suffer from horrible gas at times and wonder if there’s anything that I can take to subside these symptoms.

Fennel, Aniseed and Peppermint are good herbs for dispelling gas. They can be taken as tinctures or made into tea, three times a day before meals. These and other digestive herbs such as coriander, ginger, oregano and savory may be added to cooking to make food more digestible, avoiding the gas.

Gas is often caused by allergies to dairy products. For dietary recommendations and information on causes such as food allergies, please see our website at http://www.richters.com. Go to the "Q&A" area and under Medicinal Herbs and their Uses, see the item "Intestinal Pain, Bloating and Heartburn".
