Are there any herbs that reduce eye floaters or stop the new ones?

Siegfried Gursche, in "Encyclopedia of Natural Healing" (Alive Publishers, Canada, (800) 663-6580 or Natural Life Publishing Inc., U.S. (800) 663-6513), states that eye floaters are small black specks that dance or float across the visual field. Gursche says they may be caused by a build up of toxins in the system.

Detoxification and a healthy, whole food diet, heavy on fresh fruit and vegetables, may prevent the occurrence of floaters. For information on detoxification, please see our website at http://www.richters.com, and then go to the "Q&A" area and look in the "Medicinal Herbs and their Uses" section for "Herbal Detoxification".
