I am wanting to do a grapefruit diet, but I don’t like grapefruit. Everything else would be perfect about the diet. I was wondering if I took the grapefruit pills that are in the herb section., would it react the same.

I don’t believe that "fad" diets generally work to help control weight on a long term basis. For ideas on losing weight, please see previous answers to diet questions on our website at http://www.richters.com, select the Q&A area, then choose "Search Richters Q and A" and enter the word "weight" for the search.

A relevant quote from the web: "Any diet based on one food is much too restrictive to be healthy," says Sheldon Margen, M.D., professor emeritus of public health nutrition at the University of California, Berkeley. You miss out on calcium, vital to bone strength; iron, which wards off anemia; folic acid, which can protect against heart disease; and most vitamins.
