What medicinal herbs can be safely used on rabbits with snuffles/pasteurella/upper respiratory problems?

CJ Puotinen, in her book, "The Encyclopedia of Natural Pet Care" (available from Richters) discusses herbal therapies for several respiratory ailments in rabbits, including asthma, hay fever, cough and sore throat, and respiratory infections. She recommends a variety of herbs such as garlic, mullein, ephedra, coltsfoot, slippery elm, licorice and others.

The doyenne of herbal animal care, Juliette de Bairacli Levy does not specifically mention rabbits in her books, but her tips for other animals could be applied to rabbits will appropriate adjustments in doses. Her books are classics: "The Complete Herbal Handbook for Farm and Stable" and "The Complete Herbal Handbook for the Dog and Cat" (both available from Richters).
