Have there ever been studies done on the effect catnip has on respiratory depression?

No, I know of no studies done regarding catnip and respiratory depression. Catnip, in normal therapeutic doses is relaxing, anti-spasmodic and a nerve sedative. It relieves chest congestion, eases breathing, calms restlessness and encourages sweating out toxins through the skin.
