I have pains that are similar to gas pains in the waist area down to the groin. If I lay my thumb on my waist area and lay it flat this is the area that pains so bad. Sometimes the pains are breathtaking and catch me off guard. I had an appendectomy 4 years ago, have had a colonoscopy and had exploratory surgery this year to try to locate a solution to this pain. Nothing that has been done has been helpful to eliminate the pain. When I have had to have any procedures done and have to clean out my body I have not any pain this particular day. I feel like I have to have a bm and can’t and I am worn out with this after 4 years....can you help me. I am taking Zelnorm right now. I use Apple Cider Vinegar with Mother every day and take 3 herbal capsules for constipation and nothing helps.

I recommend that you consult with a qualified natural health practitioner, who can sort out what may be causing your symptoms. You may have a "spastic" colon, or irritable bowel syndrome. Please see our website www.richters.com for information on irritable bowel. Choose Q&A from the main menu, then enter "irritable" for the search. These items include herbs to relieve spasms and pain. For information on qualified practitioners, please see the item "Finding a Herbalist" by entering "herbalist" in the Q&A search.
