I am trying to give up salt shaker and carbs (excessive sugar). I am not going crazy trying to do it. Any herbal ideas?

Ensuring that you have sufficient, good quality protein in your diet often curbs sugar cravings. This can be accomplished by including a little fish or lean meat with every meal.

There are many delicious salt substitutes. Try mixing your favourite herbs and spices with a pinch of salt, or purchase a salt substitute from a health food store or vegetable market. Please see our website www.richters.com for some ideas on salt substitutes:

Stevia is an effective sweetener to use as a sugar substitute. There are many recipe books for stevia available. "The Stevia Cookbook" by Ray Sahelian is available at Richters.
