How can we cure heart related problems? Please enumerate some herbal medicines and their usage.

Heart related problems benefit primarily from a good diet, (for example, including fish and fish oils, fruits, vegetables, moderate amounts of whole grains, and excluding fatty meats, coffee, heat-processed and chemically extracted vegetable oils, margarine, shortening, refined grains and sugar); sufficient but not excessive exercise, weight loss if overweight; stress-reduction exercise like yoga, tai chi and meditation. Any underlying factors like diabetes or anemia must be treated. Digestive problems must be treated to ensure that food nutrients are properly absorbed.

We have listed the uses of herbal medicines under the specific heart problems. Please see our website www.richters.com . Choose Q&A from the main menu, then search for "heart" or "blood pressure" or "circulation" or "arter" (for arteriosclerosis, problems with the arteries).

Hawthorn and garlic are two of the most nourishing herbs used in heart problems. Please use our Q&A search for information on these herbs.
