Overactive Libido

I am a 19 year old male. I am having a problem with erections and wet dreams that are too frequent and that happen at embarrasing times. I can’t sleep well because I am worried about this problem. I do not believe in self-relief and I do not have a female companion. Is there any herbal way to reduce these urges? I can find plenty of ways to enhance libedo, but nothing to reduce it. I have obsessive-compulsive disorder and must spend hours cleaning after an episode. I need my life back!

The most effective way to reduce an overactive libido is to reduce the libido stimulating hormones in the body. This main hormone is estrogen for both men and women. A process known as aromatization increases the conversion of testosterone to estrogen. Body builders and athletes do not like this conversion as it reduces muscle mass. Therefore to stop this conversion, a process known as anti- aromatization is used - stops the conversion of testosterone to estrogen. The side effect of doing so for these body builders and athletes is that it decreases their libido. The constituent known as chrysin has been shown to stop this aromatization process and is a flavone that is found to be present in the herb called blue passion flower (Passifora caerulea). This same flavone is also found in bee pollen, wild carrot seed, eastern white pine, black popular, Balm of Gilead, sour cherry and scullcap.

Factors known to increase this aromatase activity include age, obesity, insulin levels and alcohol.
