I made a salve for my sore muscles. What can I add to the salve for heat to warm up the sore muscles to promote healing.

Warming herbs such a ginger root, cayenne pepper, or cloves in oil have traditionally been used to increase heat in herbal salves. Antispasmodic herbs such as catnip, wild yam or black cohosh can also be used. Essential oils such as cloves, nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon can also be added in small drop doses. This is the beauty of herbal medicines, there are so many options!!
