Do you recommend any type of herbs or alternative medicines for warts on hands or feet?

Warts in any location but the genital area (which must be seen immediately by your doctor) are caused by the human papilloma virus. They can be treated both internally and externally with Thuja occidentalis, which arrests growth and Echinacea, which is antiseptic and increases the body’s immune response to viruses. Follow the directions on the tincture bottles for internal use, and apply a mixture of these herbs with a cotton swab externally several times a day.

Turmeric is also useful for warts. A paste of turmeric powder can be applied to the skin (carefully! as the yellow colour stains) and taken internally by mixing a teaspoon of the powder with a glass of milk (or a milk substitute such as soy milk).

There are many folk remedies for warts, including rubbing the wart with one of: the inside of banana peels; the milky juice of dandelion leaf, flower or stem; garlic.
