Is it safe to take medicinal marijuana for foot neuropathy when on high blood pressure medication? I have tried everything else and am trying to avoid the morphine pump.

Studies on the effects of marijuana on the heart indicate that there is a potential risk of heart damage, but in most cases, there are no long term negative heart effects. The effects may be dependent on the quantity and frequency of use and the condition of the heart. I suggest that you monitor and record your blood pressure and pulse to give you an indication of the effects in your particular case.

Long term, high use of marijuana does increase the risk of respiratory damage, which in turn can cause heart problems.
